Disclaimer regarding all programs
Licenses in H.H.P. are issued by the city, county, or state in which you reside; diplomas and certificates of completion for all of our programs are issued by BNHC. Graduation from any of our programs does not qualify you as a licensed primary health-care provider — i.e. a medical doctor. You cannot diagnose, prescribe, or treat symptoms, defects, injury, or disease pursuant to California Business and Professional Code 2052. You can provide health counseling or therapies as a licensed or certified health practitioner or therapist.
Important note: California Senate Bill SB 577, signed into law in January 2003, significantly liberalises the scope of complementary and alternative medicine in California — including roles such as Nutritionist, Herbalist and Holistic Health Practitioner. A copy of the law is available on request. Similar laws are being enacted in other states.
Transfer of credits to other institutions
The transferability of credits you earn at BNHC is entirely at the discretion of the institution to which you may seek to transfer, as is acceptance of the diploma or certificate you earn here. If your credits, diploma or certificate are not accepted by that institution, you may have to repeat some or all of your coursework there. For this reason, you should make sure that attending BNHC will meet your educational goals — which may include contacting any institution you may later wish to transfer to.
Approval & licensing
BNHC is a private institution approved to operate by the California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education. Approval to operate means the institution meets the minimum standards of the California Private Postsecondary Education Act of 2009 (as amended) and Division 7.5 of Title 5 of the California Code of Regulations.
