Program overview
This diploma program consists of 30 credit hours and runs as a two-year study program. You complete all assigned courses and study requirements to earn the Diploma in Nutrition, Brain & Mind Consultant.
Objectives
To graduate successfully with the Nutrition & Brain Function Consultant, you should be able to:
- Understand the relationship between nutrition, brain and mind and the body’s role in a healthy mood
- Describe how body health influences brain health — metabolism, memory and mood
- Understand the biochemical function of brain constituents that require healthy fats to improve mood and metabolic disorders
- Understand how the brain’s energy demands relate to essential healthy nutrients that improve function
- Engage in research on how certain foods can affect behaviour

Note: Each 4-credit course runs on a 12-week period (three exams, assignments and a paper); 3-credit courses run on an 8-week period with the same requirements.
